The 47-year-old musician-turned-cheesemaker, who runs a 200-acre farm in the Cotswolds, made the startling revelation in an interview with Living.

Despite previously referring to his mop top hairstyle as his "fortune" the musician admitted he hasn't particularly taken great care over it, revealing he was forced to wash it for the first time in years after his children sprayed it grey for Halloween last month (Oct16).

“My hair isn’t really something I’ve ever particularly thought about or fussed over," explained the Parklife hitmaker to the magazine. “Other than this week when both my daughters were keen to give me a Halloween makeover and emptied a whole can of grey-coloured hairspray into it and it set solid, I haven’t washed it for 10 years.”

Some health experts claim not washing your hair is actually beneficial for your locks and will make them thicker and more luscious. However, the father of five didn't divulge if this was the reason for his decade-long lack of grooming.
