Spanish superstar Alejandro Sanz and his longtime manager Rosa Lagarrigue have split.
The couple's business partnership has lasted a quarter of a century, according to Billboard.com.
Lagarrigue confirmed the big industry news in an email obtained by the outlet, writing: "Alejandro Sanz (through his company, Gazul Producciones S.L.) has unilaterally ‘broken’ his current agreement with RLM S.A., recently renewed on September 2014 and lasting until approximately mid 2019 (pending the release of Sanz’s next album with Universal)."
The split was first reported by Spanish newspaper El Mundo over the weekend (04-05Jun16), and comes as Sanz prepares to balance his commitments to TV talent shows The Voice Mexico and The Voice Spain with an upcoming Spanish arena tour in July (16).
Lagarrigue has been the singer's manager since the release of his debut album in 1991.
