The Si Tu Supieras star's daughter turned 18 on Monday (30Nov15) and received an extra special birthday gift by inking a deal with Universal Music Mexico.

"I'm happy, excited - music has been my life since I was a little girl and I've been practicing to make my dream come true," Camila said during a press conference announcing the deal. "My dad is giving me the best advice, he's the best teacher. He knew all this was going to happen because I kept telling him it would since I was little, and of course he supports me."

Her music roots go back to her grandfather, Vicente Fernandez, who is considered one of Mexico's greatest ranchera singers.

"My grandpa supports me in everything - he always tells me that first comes discipline and giving your all to your audience," Camila said of her grandfather.

Camila plans to head into the studio to work on her debut album in January (16).
