Canadian singer Alanis Morissette has hit out at critics of Eminem's outspoken lyrics - insisting he sets a good example to others by expressing his anger through music instead of actions.

The IRONIC star is inspired by controversial Eminem's lack of censorship, but disagrees with many of the opinions featured in his raps.

She explains, "I adore Eminem's lack of censorship. His music shows how anger expressed through art is so much less destructive than acting it out in day-to-day life.

"I don't agree with all of his opinions, but I don't think it's a matter of having to agree or disagree with him, as much as behold him. I can appreciate the place from which he writes."
