With all these possible names to appear as judges on 'American Idol', it looks like it's going to be the longest judging panel ever. The latest name to be thrown into the mix is Alanis Morissette.
The singer admits she is 'in conversations' about the possible role but insists that she is very open to the suggestion. 'Yes, I have been in conversations about it, and that's the degree to which I can share the info right now', she told CNN at her induction ceremony into Hollywood's RockWalk on Tuesday (August 21st 2012). 'I live to mentor, so my heart is much more open to the idea of that than even 10 years ago when I, perhaps, wasn't in a position to be able to offer much advice, solicited or otherwise.' She went on to say that she finds interest in other people's goals and careers and enjoys supporting those with big dreams; 'I would do it formally, for sure', she said.
Hold on a minute though! Us Weekly recently reported that Nicki Minaj was definitely set to appear on the panel with sources telling them, 'I'm not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it' as well as Tmz mentioning that Kanye West was also on the list of maybes. And that's not to mention Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban that have cropped up in various publications surrounding the role.
