Singer/songwriter Mark Gray has died, aged 64.
The hitmaker behind Alabama's Take Me Down and The Closer You Get and Janie Fricke's It Ain't Easy Being Easy, passed away in Lebanon, Tennessee on Friday (02Dec16).
Gray also enjoyed solo hits with songs like Left Side of the Bed and Diamonds in the Dust, and he was a former member of the group Exile from 1979 to 1982.
Born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, he formed gospel group the Revelations in 1972 and joined the Oak Ridge Boys on the road.
His biggest hit came in 1985 when he teamed up with Tammy Wynette for Sometimes When We Touch.
