Singer/actress Adrienne Bailon was sexually harassed by a music executive who repeatedly kissed her on the lips early on in her career.
The former 3LW and Cheetah Girls star opened up about her experiences during Tuesday's (18Oct16) episode of her U.S. talk show The Real, admitting she initially thought the lip-lock was an accident.
"I even experienced an executive that would kiss me on the lips," she revealed. "It consistently happened to the point where I was like, 'This ain't cool, man. Now he knows I'm not going to say anything.' Which is not OK."
Adrienne, 32, insists she would never let someone get away with that kind of behaviour now, but at the time, she was too young to know any better.
"Obviously that happened then, I would never allow that to happen now, but a lot of women are in fear," she said, adding that reporting the incidents to higher ups is made all the more difficult as "these men are usually (famous)".
The star, who is engaged to wed gospel singer Israel Houghton, was inspired to discuss her brushes with sexual harassment as she and her fellow panellists Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, and Jeannie Mai shared their reactions to a moving speech given by U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama last week (ends14Oct16) in response to lewd comments made by Republican presidential wannabe Donald Trump, who had boasted about touching and kissing women inappropriately during a recently-leaked off-camera chat with former Access Hollywood co-host Billy Bush in 2005.
