Gloucestershire based festival Lakefest busts January blues, by revealing second set of acts in the 2014 line-up. Neville Staple and Ade Edmondson & The Bad Shepherds will be joining Fun Lovin' Criminals, Snap and Lee 'Scratch' Perry on stage this August.
The Lakefest team is thrilled to announce this second set of acts. Lee Martin, Lakefest organiser said "Another amazing couple of acts to add to the line-up; this year's festival is coming together nicely and I am so excited for the remaining line-up to be announced over the coming months. It won't be long before Lakefester's can start the countdown to August - it is going to be Lakefest's best year yet!" The annual family friendly festival will be held on the 8th, 9th and 10th August 2014 at Croft Farm, Tewkesbury.
Joining previously announced Fun Lovin' Criminals, Snap! and Lee 'Scratch' Perry on stage is Neville Staple. 'The Original Rudeboy' is credited with changing the face of pop music not once but twice. Festival goers can expect to hear some of Neville's own material, some arrangements of his very favourite old-school Ska numbers, as well as some classic hits in the mix.
Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds is known as a folk-punk 3 piece act; they play punk songs on folk instruments creating a folk/punk mash up. They have been known to perform songs by bands such as The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers, and The Jam. The band has recently released their third album Mud, Blood and Beer, the first album to include original work.
Lakefest will be making the third and final line-up announcement at the end of February. A plethora of additional acts will also be added in the following months to create a jam-packed three day line-up.
Lakefest 2014 is fast approaching and tickets are selling fast. Tickets should be purchased sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment!
