Adam Lambert has tweeted a tribute message to those caught up in the devastation in Japan after the country suffered a huge earthquake followed by a tsunami.
Adam Lambert, the Californian singer-songwriter who finished as the runner-up on season eight of American Idol, is the latest celebrity to send a message of condolence to the people of Japan.Speaking on his Twitter page earlier today, the American musician told followers, "My thoughts and energy are towards japan". A number of high-profile celebrities have been urging their digital fans to use the 'prayforjapan' hash-tag when posting messages. The reality television star Kim Kardashian tweeted, "Just heard about the huge earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My prayers are with everyone in Japan!", while P Diddy aka Sean Combs asked his followers to pray, saying, "Oh man yall see this earthquake in japan??????!!!!! Let us pray!!!!" The earthquake registered an 8.9 magnitude on the U.S Geological Survey and a series of aftershocks reached 7.4 just thirty minutes later.
Adam Lambert's sentiments were also echoed by the radio host and television personality Ryan Seacrest, who told his Twitter followers, "Glued to TV watching this unreal earthquake footage out of Japan. Sending prayers to everyone affected. Unbelievable".
