ABC's new drama Women's Murder Clubkilled the competition in the 8:00 p.m. hour Friday as it debuted with a 7.3 rating and a 13 share, a solid performance for a Friday-night show. Unfortunately, the shows that preceded and followed it came up short. Particularly disappointing for the network was the fourth-place showing of its magazine show 20/20, which moved to 8:00 p.m. after holding down the 10:00 p.m. timeslot for the previous 20 years. Men in Trees, the show that replaced 20/20 at 10:00 p.m., also performed poorly.
