Adam Lambert expressed regret but offered no apologies for his controversial performance at the 2009 American Music Awards last month. In an interview with Ellen Degeneres due to air today (Tuesday), the American Idol sensation said, "I think in hindsight I look back on it and I go, 'Okay, maybe that wasn't the best first impression to make." He later told DeGeneres that his father suggested that he apologize. "I was like, 'You know, dad, I don't feel like I did anything wrong.' It just wasn't maybe the right judgment call. It's a taste thing more than an obscenity thing." Asked about ABC's decision to cancel his appearance on Good Morning America , he replied, "I think ABC was a little bit mad at me. ... I don't blame them. I got carried away."
