Charlie Gronvall, the child of Andersson's son Peter, seemed to be following in his musical family's footsteps when he appeared on Monday's (05Sep16) episode of reality show Idol in Sweden.

Ahead of his performance, the 26-year-old, who wore edgy eyeliner and nail varnish for his audition, revealed his parents were Peter and Nanne Gronvall, a famous Swedish singer, but judge Fredrik Kempe told the rest of the panel, "Let's not focus on his parents, let's listen to Charlie."

Gronvall wowed the judges, including Nikki Amini and Quincy Jones III, the son of the well-known composer, with a rendition of Pink and Nate Ruess' collaboration Just Give Me A Reason, and was put through to the next round.

Amini told him, "You are awesome! You are crazy cool. Everything about you is very unique and that is amazing," and Jones III added, "You have an artist's aura, your voice has its own ID, you immediately hear that it's you."

Andersson was engaged to Christina Gronvall when they had Peter and Helene in the 1960s, before he formed Abba. He later married bandmate Anni-Frid Lyngstad but they split in 1980. He has son Ludvig with current wife Mona Norklit and Ludvig has also followed in his father's musical footsteps and formed a band.
