Aaron Sorkin will write The Script for the forthcoming Steve Jobs biopic.

The 'West Wing' creator - who won an Oscar for penning 'The Social Network' - will take charge of 'Jobs: Get Inspired', which will see Ashton Kutcher play the late technology mogul - and Amy Pascal, co-creator of Sony Pictures, is confident the film will be in ''capable'' hands with the screenwriter.

She said there is ''no writer working in Hollywood today who is more capable of capturing such an extraordinary life''.

''In his hands, we're confident that the film will be everything that Jobs himself was: captivating, entertaining and polarising.''

Production on the motion picture is expected to begin later this month, with Joshua Michael Stern set to direct the movie and the Josh Gad lined up to play Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak.

The film will follow the Apple corporation from 1971 to 2000, when Steve - who passed away last October aged 56 - became the full-time CEO of the company for a second time.
