Epic Records CEO L.a. Reid has revealed the bandmates have completed work on new material - their first since 1998.

They came together just before Malik 'Phife Dawg' Taylor's death in March (16).

"I'm really happy about it, man, it's really something special," Reid told the Rap Radar Podcast. "It's one of the things I'm most excited about over everything we're working on.

"Phife is there. The whole group: Jarobi, the entire group, everybody. It's great too."

The new album will be the band's first since The Love Movement in 1998, after which the group split.

The bandmates continued to perform together and all four members reunited in November, 2015 to perform Can I Kick It? on America's The Tonight Show.
