The rap pioneers' final album with tragic bandmate Phife Dawg, We Got It From Here... Thank You 4 Your Service, has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200, with first-week sales of over 135,000.

It's the band's first chart-topper since Beats, Rhymes and Life, which hit number one in August, 1996.

Meanwhile, Phife Dawg, real name Malik Taylor, has been posthumously honoured with his own New York City street sign.

The rapper's former bandmates, family members and friends gathered at the new Malik 'Phife Dawg' Taylor Way at the intersection of 192nd Street and Linden Boulevard in Queens on Saturday (19Nov16), on the eve of what would have been his 46th birthday (20Nov16), to unveil the sign.

The local hero died earlier this year (16) following complications from diabetes.
