The Internet entrepreneur and music mogul reportedly passed away in his sleep on Monday night (23Jan17).

O'Denat launched WSHH in 2005. The site became a platform for hip-hop videos and mixtapes, while promoting new up-and-coming talent.

The site is so popular, 'WorldStar' has become a popular catchphrase for the online community - it refers to outrageous videos posted on the Internet.

In 2011, O'Denat hit the headlines when he was involved in a feud with rapper 50 Cent over unlicensed content.

50 filed a lawsuit against O'Denat in 2009 for copyright infringement, that involved an image of the rapper being used on the site's masthead. The rapper was later awarded a partial victory, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
