Rock group 3 Doors Down have teamed up with bosses at do-it-yourself store The Home Depot to help better the lives of America's military veterans.
The Here Without You hitmakers have partnered with the retailer as part of the company's Celebration of Service campaign, which aims to provide adequate housing, job training and improved medical facilities to veterans across the United States.
As part of their efforts, 3 Doors Down will donate a portion of the proceeds of their new album - purchased from The Home Depot website - to the cause, to ensure that retired servicemen and women have a proper place to call home.
Lead singer Brad Arnold says, "Veterans should not have to worry about where they and their families are going to live, and that's why we're so excited to be working with The Home Depot Foundation to change and improve the lives of thousands of brave men and women who have served this country. It's time to honour those who have served us all."
The rockers jetted to Los Angeles on Wednesday (24Aug11) to show their support for the campaign launch and make repairs and upgrades to New Directions, Inc. - a residential facility which houses up to 600 homeless veterans each year.
