Rapper 2 Chainz has assured fans his Atlanta, Georgia restaurant is "stronger and better" than ever after taking drastic steps to improve following a failed health inspection.
The I'm Different star hit headlines last week (ends24Feb17) when it was revealed his Escobar Lounge had been slapped with a U grade for unsatisfactory by officials at the Georgia Department of Public Health.
The eatery was given a score of just 59 out of 100, with violations concerning uncovered food items, raw meat and raw eggs being stored next to ready-to-eat foods, expired milk, and a "red and black mold-like substance" inside the ice machine.
2 Chainz and his business partner Mychel 'Snoop' Dillard took swift action to remedy the situation, firing five rookie managers and hiring new, experienced staffmembers in their place.
Escobar Lounge has since been inspected once again, and this time, health department representatives were happy enough with the changes to award the restaurant a top A grade.
The rapper took to Instagram on Monday (27Feb17) to share the good news with fans, insisting he will never stop trying to improve.
"It's always been my dream to open @escobaratlanta invest back into the Atlanta community, employing people from my own community and I'm going to keep building," he captioned a photo of the new A grade. "Just like everything in life we had our ups and downs along the way, but we're getting stronger and better."
The hip-hop star opened Escobar last year (16).
